Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Pexeso Party, a memory card game for web and Android, handles user data when you play against the computer, use local play, join multiplayer rooms, or play the educational quiz mode.
Developer and Contact
Pexeso Party is operated by Gardan. For privacy questions, correction requests, deletion requests, or other privacy-related inquiries, contact support@gardan.net.
Before publishing this page, make sure the developer name and contact email match the information shown in your Google Play Console store listing.
Data We Use
Pexeso Party does not require user registration and does not create user accounts.
- Local player identity: an anonymous app-generated device player ID, chosen display name, avatar, player color, and identity creation date.
- App settings: language, music and effects volume, music on/off state, local player profiles, downloaded deck information, and reconnect tokens used to return to a multiplayer room.
- Multiplayer data: room code, room name, game settings, player state, selected cards, quiz answers, scores, and current game progress.
- Technical data: when you connect to the online service, the server, hosting provider, or network infrastructure may process your IP address, connection time, and basic technical connection data needed to provide the service, maintain security, and prevent abuse.
Where Data Is Stored
- Local identity, settings, and reconnect tokens are stored on your device in browser or app storage.
- Online multiplayer room data is held in server memory only while the room exists, with a short reconnect window after players disconnect.
- Passwords for protected multiplayer rooms are not sent to other players. For verification, the server keeps only a password hash in memory.
Why We Use Data
We use data only to operate the game and its related features:
- to save your name, avatar, language, and audio settings on your device,
- to create and join multiplayer rooms,
- to synchronize game state between players in real time,
- to allow reconnecting to an existing room,
- to show game results, scores, and the public list of open rooms,
- to protect the service against excessive actions and technical abuse.
Sharing of Data
- In multiplayer, other players in the same room can see your chosen display name, avatar, color, score, connection status, moves, and quiz answers.
- The public room list may show the room name, room code, number of players, selected game mode, deck, and board size.
- We do not sell user data and do not use it for personalized advertising.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical data necessary to operate the website, API, multiplayer service, and downloadable game assets.
Ads, Analytics, and Payments
The current version of Pexeso Party does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, in-app purchases, a global online leaderboard, or third-party sign-in.
App Permissions
The Android app uses internet access to load game content and support online multiplayer. The app does not request access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts, SMS, photos, or user files.
Children and Families
Pexeso Party is designed as a family game for both children and adults. The app does not require registration and does not intentionally collect children's contact details. For online multiplayer, we recommend that children play with parent or guardian supervision and avoid using their full real name or other personal information as their player name.
Retention and Deletion
- Data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it through app/browser settings or uninstall the app.
- Multiplayer rooms and their game state are automatically deleted after completion, inactivity, or when the room is left, according to the game's operating rules.
- You can request deletion of data from the operated online service by emailing privacy@gardan.net. Please include the approximate time of play, the room code if known, and the player name used in the game.
Security
Production web and multiplayer connections are intended to use HTTPS/WSS. Multiplayer actions are protected by server-side validation and rate limiting. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, server operation, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
